I’d like to take a moment to tell you what Berkeley’s Place means to me, both as a member of a rescue and as a pet mom.
One of the most touching things I have EVER seen is the Pet Honouring ceremony which is done monthly. It is a very solemn event but you can tell it is done from the heart. I had my beloved cat, Sabrina honoured and let me tell you, I cried. But what really got me? One of our rescue kittens, who was thrown from a vehicle, had to be put down. Well, Berkeley’s Place knew this and took upon themselves to add Munchkin to their ceremony. This “unwanted” kitten was honoured and shown the respect that all the loved animals were given. Well, then I REALLY cried. Thank you for that – for caring about Munchkin and all the other unloved animals out there.
I also appreciate the valuable information that is posted on the page and I share it regularly. This includes tips regarding domestic animals as well as things we may not want to acknowledge such as coyote culls. But I appreciate it all the same, as I believe knowledge is power and with that we can change the world.
Berkeley’s also is kind enough to share posts about adoption events and fundraisers. Networking is huge and you just never know who a post might reach. The more people who read your information the better! I could go on and on about the things that Berkeley’s has done for SAFE Team and me but it would take many pages. Just let me say – wonderful, resourceful, caring people – who could ask for anything more?
