Why Help Rescues?

Berkeley’s Place knows firsthand how expensive food and supplies are for animals, especially for those animals in care who may have special needs or diets.

Through our support and support from donors like you, we believe that freeing up much-needed finances that would typically go to the general husbandry of fostering pets allows rescues to better focus on providing veterinary care to each animal they take in.

Before they are adoptable, many animals require vaccinations, grooming, spaying or neutering, other surgeries or veterinary care. By supporting the rescues on our network, we as a community give the animals in care a more substantial opportunity to find their fur-ever homes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Types of Rescues are on Berkeley's network?

Due to our charity status, Berkeley’s Place can only assist rescues with a current charity or non-profit registered number.

Why do you work with so many different rescues?

At Berkeley’s Place, our goal is to ease the burden surrounding high costs of food and supplies for animals in care – leaving more funding available for much-needed veterinary care.

Do you do adoptions?

Berkeley’s Place is happy to assist rescues when we can, but we do not have a formal intake/adoption process.

Where do monetary donations go?

Berkeley’s Place ensures that we are transparent with all of our finances. Each cent donated to our organization goes directly towards supporting animals, vulnerable guardians, and our programming initiatives.
